Managing Attorney

Andrew Karpf, Esq. defends people facing all types of New York state misdemeanor
and felony charges, including attempted murder, drug offenses, theft,
fraud, burglary, and robbery. As an experienced federal criminal defense
attorney, he also handles cases in federal court, such as federal drug
trafficking charges, racketeering, and civil cases where compensation
is sought for false arrest, excessive force, and police misconduct. In
addition, he handles probation and parole cases and represents minors
who have been charged with juvenile crimes.
Attorney Karpf believes in a two-pronged approach to criminal defense.
The majority of criminal charges can, and should, be resolved. "I
will work hard to do exactly that." However, in order to negotiate
a satisfactory resolution, you will need a lawyer who is known for trying
cases successfully. The reputation of your attorney can make the difference
between a satisfactory plea offer and a trial you do not want. When your
freedom and livelihood are at stake, you need a lawyer who is willing
to take your case as far as it needs to go.
When choosing a criminal defense lawyer, you cannot afford to take a risk
with the wrong lawyer, and you certainly cannot afford to delay hiring
the best. An hour of delay on your behalf allows law enforcement to initiate,
investigate, and indict. Gerry Spence, one of America's most honored
criminal defense lawyers once said, "Criminal cases are won on opening
statements, not closing arguments."
